OF EXTERNAL ECONOMIC COLLABORATION BETWEEN RUSSIA AND GERMANY

Background. Germany is one of general economic partners of Russia. Therefore, the research topic actuality is conditioned by the necessity of exposure of prospects of economic collaboration development between Russia and Germany in quite complicated modern conditions. The aim of the work is to analyze the current state and prospects of development of external economic collaboration between Russia and Germany.
Materials and methods. The research aim was achieved by means of an analysis of the current status of external economic connections of Russia with Germany, a comparative analysis of foreign trade of the investigated states for two temporal periods, an analysis of statistical information on the value of external trade between Russia and the German Federal Republic, the export and import of the Russian Federation, an analysis of investment activity of Russia and Germany. The methodological potential of the research included statistical and comparative analyses.
Results. In the article the review of development of external economic relations of Russia and Germany is given in the sphere of innovations, raw material sector. The work adduces indexes of external trade between the Russian Federation and the German Federal Republic, the export to Germany, the import from Germany. The article also reviews the investments of two countries into each other’s economies.
Conclusions. The conducted study suggests that the most active foreign economic cooperation between Russia and Germany is the development of the commodity sector, the agricultural and industrial sectors. The prospects for foreign economic relations of the two countries are related to mutual investment, innovative technologies, digitalization, implementation of joint research projects.
